Lecturer Dr. Barbara Lopez Brana
graduate in organic chemistry with courses in her undergraduate curriculum in essential oil chemistry, chemistry of natural organic substances, and chemistry and physiology of the human body at the inst. of Pharmacy at the Univ. of Genoa and graduated in herbal medicine from univ. Urbino.
From her studies of the French school of Tisserand and Valnet, to first Henri Chenot and then Franco Calato, she has always been dedicated to aromatherapy and its synergies.
What does it consist of?
a one-day distance learning course dedicated to all those who want appropriate information about essential oils and their fascinating world with emphasis on:
- the natural, artificial, reconstructed essential oils
- Cosmetic and health characteristics and functionalities of some natural oils
- distinction of naturals to non-naturals
- Plants, their extraction and taking a look at some pure essential oils
- From nature to what comes on the products we buy
- truths and lies about cosmetic and food ingredients claimed as essences.
Course Objectives: to be led by the hand into the wonderful world of natural in accordance with folk tradition confirmed by scientific studies to acquire fundamental knowledge about natural essential oils – to discover how to use them – to know their action from the psychophysical point of view and their possible synergies Course modalities: at the time of enrollment, the in-depth documentation “Aromatherapy according to Chémeìa, nature for Chémeìa” is sent via email to each enrolled person, although it is necessary during the course to be able to take note of additional insights. Enrollment includes: course materials, individual correction of the test, certificate of attendance and sending No. 1 15 ml essential oils You will receive: upon completion of the course and the test, an essential oil from the following will be sent to you of your choice and according to availability: bitter orange, eucalyptus globulos, lavender monte bianco, lemon extra, peppermint, clary sage, rosemary off. Meeting time:
- 9.15- 9.30 connection and presentation
- 9.30-12.30 lecture on description
- 12:30-1:30 p.m. break
- 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. lecture on the purpose of the course
